OOO Notification 08/27-09/09

I know.  Seems crazy to take a vacation at the peak of prime wedding season in the Bay Area…! But due to my husband’s work commitments, he’s been living in Tokyo most of the year, and the time he can get off is very limited so we decided to take carve out some quality time to spend together!  I’ve been hustling since January to work on the new Skyla Arts website, which has helped me connect with many of our 2021 & 2022 brides, and once April rolled around, it was just a blur and suddenly it’s almost September! I am super grateful to my 2021 clients so far, and to be working considering how last year went!  My husband & I had decided to do this back in March when vaccines rolled around, and we were cautiously optimistic, but then the Delta variant had showed its ugly face, and we had debated whether to go or not.  It wasn’t the vacation we may have imagined back in the spring, we were hoping with the vaccine, things *could* return to ‘normal.’  It was a hard decision because any time you step out of the house, the risk is higher than if you remain in the safety of your pod.  At the end of the day, we don’t know what the future holds, and we must find joy wherever we can. We have been checking the infection rates, and looked up the population per square mile…and at the end of the day, it’s about the same as the area we live in California as long as we are just as careful as we are here.  Getting helpful input from friends that have traveled recently, we decided to vacation, but very cautiously.

That being said, I do plan to stay away from my emails and hold off on responding to any inquires during this time period (08/27 to 09/09)!  I will keep an eye on any urgent emails for my upcoming fall weddings, but new inquiries for winter season 2021 or weddings in 2022 I will have to get to when I return to the office on 09/10!  We are so thrilled to be booking for 2022 weddings! Thank you for your patience & understanding in advance!  Looking forward to connecting in September!
